As a Broking Manager, you will join a general commercial broking team with a property specialist division consisting of a deputy broking manager and 14 account handlers. How you will make an impact As a Broking Manager, you will make a significant impact by delivering a comprehensive broking service to our existing customers and actively assisting in securing potential new clients. You will maintain an in-depth and ongoing understanding of customer requirements, ensuring these are consistently met with the highest standards. Furthermore, you will drive the efficiency and profitability of the broking department by monitoring and optimizing the various systems that support our operations. About you Qualifications Educational Background: Preferably a minimum of 5 GCSEs, including English language and maths. Professional Certifications: Relevant industry certifications such as Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) qualifications (Cert CII, Dip CII, ACII). Compliance certifications may also be beneficial. Experience Industry Experience: Significant experience in the insurance industry, preferably in a broking environment. Experience in managing client accounts and handling complex insurance products. Leadership Experience: Proven experience in a managerial or supervisory role, leading teams, and overseeing departmental operations. Sales and Customer Service: Demonstrated experience in achieving sales targets, customer retention, and managing client relationships. Regulatory Compliance: Experience with regulatory compliance, particularly within the insurance industry, and familiarity with FCA guidelines. Skills & Attributes Technical Skills: In-depth knowledge of insurance products, policies, and broking processes. Proficiency in using insurance software systems and electronic filing systems. Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills to monitor performance metrics, budgets, and financial reports. Ability to identify issues, recommend corrective actions, and implement solutions effectively. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with clients, team members, and senior management. Ability to provide clear, concise, and constructive feedback. Leadership and Management Skills: Strong leadership abilities to manage, motivate, and develop a team. Effective time management and organizational skills to ensure department efficiency. Customer Focus: A strong customer service orientation with the ability to understand and meet client needs. Ability to maintain and build strong relationships with clients and insurance suppliers.
