Learning Support Assistant (Primary School) Location: Leyton, East London Job Type: Full-Time About the Role: An inclusive and welcoming primary school in Leyton is looking for a caring and proactive Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting children-particularly those with special educational needs-and helping them thrive both academically and emotionally. Your Role Will Include: Offering 1:1 or small group support to pupils with a range of learning needs. Helping to deliver engaging and tailored learning activities. Supporting children's emotional well-being and encouraging positive social interactions. Collaborating with class teachers and SENCOs to follow and review EHCPs. Adapting classroom materials to support individual learning styles. Contributing to a calm, nurturing and inclusive learning environment. Assisting with supervision during break and lunchtimes when needed. What We're Looking For: Experience working with children, ideally in a primary or SEND setting. A genuine passion for education and supporting young learners. Strong communication and teamworking skills. Patience, empathy, and flexibility. Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is a plus but not essential. Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for one.
