Job Purpose
As a Junior Risk Analyst, you will be a crucial team member responsible for performing daily Internal safeguarding reconciliations and assisting in managing business-wide risk to ensure compliance with PSR regulations. In a rapidly changing environment, attention to detail and adopting technology to automate key processes will be essential.
Duties/Responsibilities
* Perform and ensure daily internal safeguarding reconciliations are completed timely and to the highest standards.
* Generate daily management information for the Risk Function.
* Assist the Safeguarding team with intra-day and end-of-day funding activities.
* Improve processes and enhance reconciliation adaptability across the Risk Function.
* Consolidate Risk KRIs and follow up on open actions across departments.
* Ensure the Resolution Pack is up to date.
* Support the Risk team during internal and external audits.
* Draft process and procedure documents.
* Conduct risk due diligence of counterparty banks, brokers, and third-party suppliers.
* Collaborate with Back Office and business operations to understand business-wide risk and assist in documentation.
* Support the senior manager with ad-hoc tasks and regular critical metric dashboards.
* Maintain the breaches and issues log, support discrepancy resolution, and ensure actions are taken to prevent the recurrence of identified root causes.
Qualification & Experience
* Undergraduate degree.
* Previous work experience in reconciliations is desired.
* Knowledge of reconciliations, both automated and Excel-driven.
* Comfortable with technology and technical rule interpretations.
* Strong Microsoft Excel and communication skills.
* Highly numerate with strong analytical skills and the ability to work through problems logically.
* Ability to articulate reconciliation issues both verbally and in writing to aid swift resolution.
