An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Sister/Charge Nurse post within the surgical division to join a dynamic and growing team.
Copthorne Ward is a 20 bedded ward caring for patients undergoing elective surgery.
To provide leadership, support and supervision to junior colleagues and to act as a role model in the assessing, planning, implementation, evaluation and delivery of a high standard to care for patients being cared for in the ward.
The post holder will:
1. Work as part of a team to provide a safe, effective, efficient care environment for patients, relatives and carers in Copthorne Ward.
2. Be expected to work autonomously and independently, be in charge of shifts as well as daily running of the department.
3. Provide advice and support to junior staff and be active in the development of staff and provision of training.
The department focuses on staff development and actively seeks and creates opportunities for professional growth and development both within the Trust and utilizing external sources.
The service we provide is 24/7; therefore, the post holder will be part of a shift rotation.
