What
you will be doing:
Secure 24 hr and day delegate business through a team
of G, C & E Sales Co-ordinators
Working to sales targets, helping to achieve this.
Ensure a full understanding of the hotels’
sales budget for the year in order to drive business forward.
Good knowledge of all Hotel facilities,
tariffs and rates in order they are sold to their best advantage by the individual and the G, C &
E Team. This would include sending proposals, chasing enquiries and obtaining signed
contracts within a timely manner
Conduct key sales show rounds (site visits)
with maximum effectiveness.
Ensuring the office environment and G, C &
E Team are both highly motivated for sales and target driven.
Key focus on G, C & E conversion. Ensure
all enquiries and correspondence for the GC&E team are dealt with efficiently as per hotel’s
procedures. All enquiries requested are processed and responded to within the hotel’s
set timeframe.
Contacting key clients/enquiries personally to
increase the conversion of business.
Attend and report in the weekly Sales Strategy
meetings.
Ensure reports for sales strategy meeting are
prepared.
Attend the weekly function sheet meetings
ensuring the Operations Team have a clear understanding of future business detail.
Prepare monthly reports for BRM pack as
requested by Revenue Manager.
Prepare weekly GC&E daily forecasts.
Develop a good knowledge of the local area,
local competitors and regular clientele to enhance services provided to the guests.
Create the right customer care attitude
towards all clients whilst maximising client satisfaction.
Grow and maintain the G, C & E training
& development strategy.
Ensuring the hotel strategies are rolled out
to, and followed by, the GC&E team to maximise occupancy and rooms profitability for
accommodation, conference & events.
Strong focus on managing the C & E diary
to maximise all potential revenues.
Ensure all team members are cross trained in
both Event & Reservation call handling to maximise customer satisfaction.
Ensure all data is entered correctly for G, C &
E enquiries, ensuring data integrity and accurate reporting.
Ensure relevant deposits are received and all
event revenues are charged onto the correct accounts and all accounts are checked out
accordingly.
Identify and pass on leads / information on
new Companies to the Director of Sales.
Assist with Familiarisation Tours / Visits /
Functions, hosting tables when appropriate.
Handle guests comments effectively whether
positive or constructive and report to the Executive Team.
Carry out regular appraisals with the team as
required.
Maintain a close working relationship with the
Operational team.
Carry out Management on Duty shifts as
documented along with weekend management cover as per the DM rota.
