Complex Needs Teaching Assistant
Protocol Education are working with SEN and Mainstream Schools throughout the Swindon area and collectively looking for caring and motivated Teaching Assistant to provide support to pupils with varying SEN. This is a wonderful opportunity to work within dedicated learning environments and help students thrive and reach their potential.
Contract Type: Both full and part-time roles
Hours: Usually 08.30 - 15.30
As a Teaching Assistant, you must be able to work across all age ranges and be prepared to work flexibly to support children of all abilities, including those requiring SEND support, so SEND experience is advantageous.
We are looking for someone who:
* Has a passion for delivering high quality and exciting opportunities for children and supporting them in their development;
* Has strong interpersonal and communication skills and is able to work with a variety of pupils, staff, and parents;
* Has superb attention to detail and organisational skills;
* Is self-motivated, dedicated, and consistent;
* Has the ability to deal with new challenging situations;
* Is a strong team player, who can use their own initiative;
* Has a positive and flexible attitude;
* Has experience of supporting children’s learning;
* Has experience working with children with SEND (advantageous).
Professional/personal experience with SEN is preferred but not essential. To be successful in this role, you need to have a caring, nurturing, and empathic personality. A sense of humour goes a long way, and the ability to work collectively as a team and create an engaging work environment for students and staff is just as important.
