Project Manager - Turnkey Robotics & Industrial Automation

Location: West Midlands (commutable from Wolverhampton, Bridgnorth, Kidderminster, Stafford, Walsall, Telford, Shrewsbury areas)
As a Senior Project Manager you will be responsible for overseeing successful execution of multiple turnkey automation projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget and to customers' technical specification.
Duties:
1. Lead the management of designated projects, delivering agreed objectives including revenue, timing and deliverables, taking a project from conception to completion and escalate issues as they arise.
2. Support initial feasibility reviews, validation of quotations and development of project budgets and timing for plant based activities.
3. Develop and maintain project plans, timescales & budgets leading to successful completion and buy off.
4. Follow the business process to realise programme delivery and identify areas of improvement.
5. Identify areas of change to work scope and control via change management.
Experience:
1. You will already have significant experience in a Programme Manager or Project Manager capacity within the industrial control systems & automation, robotic application or automotive OEM facilities.
2. Proven ability to lead and motivate cross functional teams delivering high value turnkey projects.
3. Setting up full development plans from concept to production with associated gateways/KPI trackers, maintenance of timing and cost plans.
4. Knowledge of complex industrial automation, PLC/HMI control systems, MES, robotic and tooling projects utilised in automotive/high volume manufacturing processes such as BIW welded assemblies, product assembly & test, powertrain assembly, EV/battery tray build etc.
5. Analytical with good judgement, commercial business sense and problem solving skills.
6. Relation builder with good communications skills with both internal and external stakeholders.
7. Structured worker with good time management and project management ability.
8. Able to travel extensively mainly across Europe to visit customer premises.
