Our client in Thatcham is looking for a skilled Press Brake Machinist who can set, programme and operate using Amada controls but would consider candidates with experience on other controls and cross train. Our client specializes in the structural, power plants and construction industries and supply both UK and international markets. They are a well-established company and looking to expand their team.
Press Brake Machinist Summary:
GI Pro have a permanent role for a Press Brake Machinist for our Thatcham based client.
Working on a day shift Monday - Thursday (Apply online only) Friday (Apply online only).
Paying up to £22 per hour.
Overtime paid at a premium & plenty available.
Press Brake Machinist Role:
1. Setting & operating Press Brake Machines
2. Programming is desirable but not essential
3. Amada controls - however will train anyone with Press Brake machine experience regardless of the controls
4. Manufacturing bespoke products for industries including architectural, construction and commercial metal products
5. Lots of variety in day to day with bespoke work
6. Mostly working with stainless steel and aluminium
7. Quality checking of own work
8. Use of hand and power tools
Essential Skills:
1. Must have Press Brake Machinist experience up to setter level
2. Worked with a variety of metals
3. Must be able to read engineering drawings
