Job overview
The post holder will be required to support in the delivery of a comprehensive administrative service. This will involve inpatient and outpatient waiting list management, in accordance with the Patient Access Policy, communicating appointments and admission related information to patients and carers, and typing correspondence/clinic letters within performance targets as appropriate. The ideal candidate will have administration/secretarial experience along with excellent communication skills.
Main duties of the job
1. Waiting list management in accordance with the patient access policy and support in the delivery of UHNM pathway targets.
2. Responsibility for handling telephone and other communications with sensitivity and confidentiality using personal judgement to assess each situation and deal with it accordingly.
3. To deliver a high standard of communication to build and maintain good working relationships.
4. To deliver a high standard of typing.
