Job Overview:
Flint are seeking an experienced Business Analyst with a strong background in telecommunications and ideally satellite communications. The successful candidate will be responsible for gathering and analysing requirements, managing input from multiple internal teams and partners, ensuring traceability, and identifying ways to effectively test requirements. Given the highly technical nature of the role, experience in working with complex, technical data is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Requirements Gathering & Analysis: Work closely with stakeholders across various internal teams and external partners to elicit, document, and validate business and technical requirements.
2. Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with a broad range of stakeholders including engineering, product management, operations, and external partners to ensure alignment and feasibility of requirements.
3. Traceability & Documentation: Maintain comprehensive traceability of requirements from initiation through development and testing, ensuring consistency and accountability.
4. Testing & Validation: Define acceptance criteria and assist in identifying appropriate test cases, ensuring requirements can be effectively validated.
5. Data Interpretation: Sift through and analyze a large volume of highly technical information to extract key insights and translate them into clear business and functional requirements.
6. Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and best practices in requirements management and business analysis within a technical environment.
7. Technical Communication: Act as a bridge between business and technical teams, ensuring clear and concise communication of requirements and project goals.
Required Skills & Experience:
1. 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in a highly technical environment.
2. Strong expertise in telecommunications is a must; satellite communications experience is highly desirable.
3. Proven experience in gathering requirements from large, cross-functional teams and external partners.
4. Ability to manage, interpret, and document complex technical data.
5. Experience in ensuring full traceability of requirements and identifying appropriate validation and testing methods.
6. Strong understanding of system development life cycle (SDLC), Agile methodologies, and business process modelling.
7. Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical teams.
8. Proficiency in using tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Visio, BPMN, or other business analysis tools.
9. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
10. Experience in working with large-scale enterprise systems or complex integration projects is a plus.
