Salary: £57,940 - £64,020 per annum
We are looking for an experienced and passionate Service Manager to lead the Quality Assurance and Safeguarding Service for a local authority in the South East. The purpose of the post is to support the work to improve the standard of practice across the Service and take responsibility for the day-to-day running of all aspects of the Quality Assurance and Safeguarding Service, ensuring people referred to the service receive professional prompt assessments, creating improved physical and mental health with clear outcomes delivered in a person-centred way.
As a qualified social work Service Manager with significant management experience, you will lead a team of IROs and CP Chairs, contributing to our ongoing development as we strive to deliver high-quality support to children and families. You will play a key role working alongside the Safeguarding Partnership to improve the quality of multi-agency input to child protection conferences and CLA review processes. This role offers hybrid working and structured career progression.
Perfect candidate will be:
* Qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England.
* BA/MA/BSc/MSc Social Work, CQSW, DipSW, CSS or CCETSW approved equivalent.
* Must have experience managing a hospital discharge service.
* Enhanced DBS.
* Additional qualification and substantial experience in the area of specialism.
* Substantial experience in managing staff with complex caseloads and delivering complex social care services.
* Comprehensive knowledge of legislation, statutory guidance, local and national policy, procedures, and multi-disciplinary codes of practice relevant to the service area.
* Substantial experience of having developed and established multi-agency working partnerships in complex multi-agency settings.
* Substantial experience of managing a team, delegated budgets, and staff performance.
* Ability to critically analyse, evaluate, and deal with complex issues including risk management and safeguarding adults.
* Thorough knowledge of project management gained from extensive experience and the ability to manage many projects ensuring delivery on time and within budget.
* Thorough knowledge of effective change and stakeholder management principles gained through extensive experience.
* 4 Years plus Qualified.
In this role you will:
* Have day-to-day operational responsibility for ensuring the smooth running of all aspects of discharge planning and processing, ensuring local and national standards are achieved.
* Support the site lead Operations Director in the delivery of strategic and operational objectives to achieve discharge at the right time, first time.
* Undertake continual review of the hospital adult social work team processes to ensure a coordinated and partnership approach to discharge management and minimise delayed transfers of care.
* Lead, manage and support the team through change and the development of new roles and associated ways of working in line with integration.
* Use skills, knowledge, and experience to make full assessment of risks protection and social care needs.
* Manage an agreed caseload.
* Use specialist communication skills to achieve optimum outcomes for service users.
* Devise individual care plans, taking account of diversity and promoting dignity and empowerment.
* Offer advice and support to unqualified staff and students to assist development.
