Responsibilities & activities:
* Providing Engineering and technical support to the waste business.
* Design, implement and refine production process machinery for the processing of waste materials.
* Oversee projects from concept to commissioning.
* Assist in the creation and management of budgets.
* Forge and maintain relationships with suppliers and customers, attending trade shows and conferences, and making site visits to suppliers’ facilities.
* Advocate on behalf of team members by securing adequate capex.
* Communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders, including department heads.
* Maintain high levels of expertise in the sector.
* Assure processes developed meet qualify and safety compliance guidelines.
Requirements
* Experience of the waste management industry with extensive knowledge of mechanical processing and sorting plants such as shredders, screeners and MRF’s.
* Experience in automation is also essential.
* Solid knowledge of safety regulations such at LOLER and PUWER.
* Degree level in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent work experience.
* Ability to quickly build relationships and work with all levels within an organisation
