Utilities Project Manager
Location: Warwick Hybrid
Contract: 6 months
Pay: £550 - £600 Inside umbrella
About this opportunity
We are currently seeking a skilled Project Manager to join our client's team. As the Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing, leading, controlling, and supporting the project team towards successful project outcomes in terms of time, cost, and quality.
The bits they'd like to see from you:
1. Maintaining documentation as required to ensure compliance with relevant policies and regulatory requirements
2. Work with IT and Security as required to deliver all relevant IT components and ensure any IT relevant processes are adhered to
3. Ensure the Project team is integrated and fully understands the Delivery Process within the GT Cyber Programme
4. Work with the Programme Management Team to develop and agree on the overall direction and integrity of the project
5. Provide effective leadership to the project team, ensuring that team members are supported, motivated, and developing their skills and experience
6. Ensure all stakeholders including client, business management, users, staff, operational and engineers, IT, and Security (as required) fully understand the objectives and scope of the project and are clear in their expectations of the project
7. Effectively estimate and monitor project tasks, costs, time scales, resource requirements, and finances for the successful completion of the project. Appropriate intervention and management where these deviate from agreed tolerances complying with governance, business sanctioning authorities, and finance procedures as required
8. Management of effective change control procedures ensuring formal approval for any changes to the approved scope and documentation
9. Manage the production of the required deliverables of the project and ensure an appropriate review process is in place and approvals are obtained
10. Prepare and maintain project, stage, exception, and quality plans and track activities against these plans. Provide regular and accurate reports to the Programme Board as required
11. Identify, assess, and manage the risks, assumptions, issues, and decisions (RAID) to the success of the project, including developing effective mitigation where required
12. Ensure the project is formally closed and documented. Lessons learnt are captured and the project's status and reports are updated
13. Manage any handover/transition as required to Business as Usual (BAU) as per the scope/objectives of the project

Knowledge, Experience:
1. Experience delivering IT networking projects, ideally in an operational utility site
2. A good extensive knowledge of GT Cyber, the Business, Operations, Engineering, and IT drivers for the project
3. Proven leadership, stakeholder management, communication, and presentation skills
4. A good track record of delivering complex projects
5. Understanding of our policies, management structures, and reporting procedures for all aspects of the project's environment.
