St Andrews Birmingham is a 124 bedded adult mental healthcare facility, located in Stirchley, South Birmingham, and comprises of eight wards which cover medium and low security. At present, 7 wards provide services for men, and 1 for women.
St Andrews Birmingham is a core partner of the West Midlands Provider Collaborative (REACH OUT) with Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health Foundation Trust and Midlands Partnership Foundation Trust. The aim of this partnership is to provide the highest quality care to our patients as close to home as possible, and the partnership is nationally recognised as one of the leading New Care Models, being highly commended by the Health Service Journal.
The role
If successful you will lead a full multi-disciplinary team and help shape services further through strategic decision-making, improvement projects and joint working. You will also be able to undertake research projects as part of St Andrews commitment to innovation and world-class care. At present, the vacancy is in Low Secure Services but this can be flexible for the right candidate.
The Birmingham Site offers an excellent opportunity to deliver value-based healthcare focusing on clinical outcomes. The charity is focusing on using up-to-date data on outcomes based on the recommendations of International Consortium of Health Outcome Measures to continually adapt care to best meet every patient's needs. We are also leading on the use of data intelligently to inform safety and care.
Minimum Requirements
* Applicants must have MRCPsych or equivalent and hold a CCT in Forensic or General Adult Psychiatry.
The post holder will be required to undertake on-call duties on a rota basis (currently one week in 6 weeks).
