Parkinson Lee Executive Search are currently working with a prestigious global leader in engineering services, specialising in nuclear projects with the recruitment of a Project Manager. Our client is at the forefront of innovation and safety within the nuclear sector, delivering high-impact solutions to the global clientele and has identified the need for a highly experienced Project Manager to work client side.
This Project Manager is a pivotal role for the group, working for the UK business and within a highly regulated space, taking the lead in project delivery amongst high profile and highly regulated clientele.
Key responsibilities include:
* Lead and oversee complex nuclear engineering projects from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to strict safety standards and regulatory requirements
* Manage project scope, budget, schedule, and resource effectively to achieve project deliverables and client expectations
* Identify, assess and manage project risks and changes, ensuring proactive mitigation strategies are in place to minimise impact on scope and schedule while maintaining industry standards and compliance
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, procurement, construction, and regulatory compliance to drive project success
* Provide strategic direction and leadership to project teams, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability
* Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and regulatory bodies
* Ensure rigorous adherence to health and safety protocols, embedding a strong safety culture within project teams, safeguarding personnel, assets and the environment
Requirements:
* Degree Qualified in Engineering or related field, with professional certifications e.g. Prince2, PMP, APMP
* Proven track record in senior project management roles within the nuclear or highly regulated industry
* Extensive experience managing multi-million-pound projects with a focus on safety, quality, and compliance
* Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve project goals
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to negotiate and influence stakeholders at all levels
