Are you an experienced compliance professional with expertise in the insurance sector (ideally with Lloyd’s and London Market experience)?
We're looking for a proactive and knowledgeable individual to lead and enhance compliance functions within a specialist and growing business. This role will play a key part in embedding regulatory best practices, fostering a strong compliance culture, and providing expert guidance across the group.
The Role:
Compliance & Business Advisory
* Act as the go-to compliance expert, offering practical support and advice on regulatory and financial crime matters.
* Provide strategic input on conduct risk, ensuring business operations align with industry best practices.
* Monitor compliance performance, reporting key insights to senior stakeholders.
Risk & Regulatory Oversight
* Assess, review, and oversee Delegated Authority and Coverholder agreements, ensuring adherence to regulatory expectations.
* Conduct risk assessments related to financial crime, implementing necessary controls and mitigation strategies.
* Maintain a robust framework for managing conflicts of interest, ensuring appropriate measures are in place.
Lloyd’s & London Market Expertise
* Provide subject matter expertise on Lloyd’s market regulations and wholesale insurance processes.
* Stay ahead of evolving industry standards, helping the business navigate complex compliance landscapes.
Policy Development & Training
* Ensure compliance policies and procedures remain up to date and aligned with regulatory changes.
* Design and deliver compliance training for employees, embedding a culture of awareness and best practice.
Acquisitions & Business Growth
* Support the integration of newly acquired businesses, ensuring smooth compliance transitions.
* Conduct due diligence and manage any compliance risks associated with business expansion.
About You:
* Strong background in FCA compliance, with expertise in Lloyd’s, ICOBS, SMCR, and wholesale insurance regulations.
* Hands-on experience within a broking or operational role in the insurance sector.
* Analytical mindset with the ability to assess risks and develop practical solutions.
* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
* Attention to detail, ensuring compliance standards are met with precision.
* Integrity and accountability, fostering a culture of transparency and regulatory excellence.
* Relevant industry qualifications (e.g., CII, ICA) - advantageous but not essential.
