Responsibilities:
- Greet and check-in patients, ensuring a friendly and welcoming environment
- Schedule and confirm patient appointments, both in-person and over the phone
- Collect and update patient information, including insurance details and medical history
- Answer phone calls and address patient inquiries or direct them to the appropriate staff member
- Stock taking and ordering from medical suppliers
- Maintain patient records and ensure accuracy of information
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the reception area
Requirements:
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Proven experience as a medical receptionist or in a similar administrative role
- Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures is preferred
- Proficient in using electronic medical record (EMR) systems
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask effectively
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism
- Strong organisational skills and ability to prioritise tasks
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment
Work Schedule:
Must be available to work at least Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, (10am - 8pm favoured). Additional days can be negotiated.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
Pay: £11.50 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 20 per week
