The HR Officer will report to the HR Manager and is responsible for all HR related matters, procedures, and practices on the relevant campus. They will provide the HR Manager reports on all HR related matters/issues on campus and liaise with the HR team to suggest solutions or recommend change. Key responsibilities include working with line managers and employees to provide guidance and act as a point of escalation for key HR matters or issues, developing and maintaining strong relationships with all staff, and providing a generalist HR service to staff. The role also involves working closely with the recruitment team to direct and participate in the interview process, scheduling, and onboarding of new candidates, and ensuring new hire induction is carried out for all new joiners. Additionally, the HR Officer will be responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date employee records, preparing and distributing HR-related documents, and collaborating with line managers to manage employee onboarding and offboarding processes. The role requires a bachelor's degree in human resources or a related field, efficient HR administration and people skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and related HR software. The HR Officer will also be expected to demonstrate their commitment to the ESL's Social, Economic and Environmental responsibilities and minimise environmental impact in the performance of the role, and to their Health and Safety responsibilities to ensure their contribution to a safe and secure working environment for staff.
