Overview
We are seeking a skilled Mechanic to join our team, responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of vehicles and machinery. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship. This role is essential in ensuring the safety and efficiency of our fleet and equipment.
Duties
1. Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles and machinery to identify issues and determine necessary repairs.
2. Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, brake inspections, and tyre rotations.
3. Diagnose mechanical problems using diagnostic tools and equipment.
4. Repair clutches, timing belts/chains.
5. Maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance performed on each vehicle or piece of equipment.
6. Collaborate with other team members to ensure timely completion of repairs while adhering to safety standards.
Requirements
1. Proven experience as a Mechanic or in a similar role within the automotive or machinery sector.
2. Strong understanding of mechanical systems and components.
3. Proficient in using diagnostic tools and equipment.
4. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
5. Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
6. Relevant qualifications or certifications in automotive technology or mechanics are advantageous.
7. A valid driver's licence is required; additional licences for specific vehicles may be beneficial.
