Job summary August 2025 start date This an outstanding opportunity for an enthusiastic Clinical Fellow interested in pursuing a career in Acute Medicine & Infection. The post holder will work within the Acute Medical Department and the Infection Diseases Department, this will rotate a monthly basis. The post, which rotates on a monthly basis, will provide comprehensive training in Infection, individualised to the skills and level of previous Infection experience of the successful candidate, as well as a broad exposure to the assessment and follow up of medical patients in the Acute Medicine Department. The successful candidates will work alongside the Specialist Trainee in Infection and the Infection Consultants during their months with the Infection team whilst the Acute Care Unit (ACU) is led by General Medicine Consultants alongside a dedicated junior doctor and nursing team. Working with both the Infection & ACU teams in one of the most ethnically diverse boroughs in the UK will offer the Clinical Fellows a wide range of experience in the detailed interpretation of microbiology laboratory results, management of infectious & tropical diseases in both inpatients & ACU patients and the ambulatory investigation & management of a stimulating variety of medical patients.
