Job overview
The NHP’s Transformation Directorate exists to act as a leading proxy operator of new hospitals, developing and delivering enhanced standards and policies which drive transformational healthcare improvements. The Directorate puts the clinical and operational needs of patients and staff front and centre to realise better outcomes and experiences through transformative hospital builds.
The Transformation Directorate consists of the following functions: Future Hospital Function in which Workforce, Clinical, Hospital Operations, and Analytics sit. The other functions are: Digital; and Hospital 2.0 Enabling Function in which Integration and Research and Innovation sit.
Main duties of the job
The postholder will lead on a range of high-profile responsibilities which include:
1. Be an active participant in the New Hospitals Programme Senior Leadership Team (SLT), playing a key role as a people and organisational development leader.
2. To advise the SLT, Executives and Senior Responsible Officer on all workforce workstream matters related to the programme.
3. Lead Workforce Workstream Strategy and planning processes such as strategy development and annual work plans.
4. Develop relationships with key leaders (Directors of Human Resources / Workforce and Organisational development) within the hospitals that are part of the programme and ensure this voice is current and heard throughout the New Hospitals Programme.
5. Be an active member of the ‘Future Hospital Operations’ programme function, to ensure effective delivery of more innovative and safer healthcare through five key areas of focus:
* Hospital 2.0
* Iterative learning
* Engagement

* Educated to master’s level in relevant subject or equivalent level or equivalent experience of working at a similar level in across the entire range of HR and OD specialist area.
