Job Title: Science Teacher for SEMH PRU (SEMH Provision Unit)

Job Type: Long-term, potential for permanent
Salary: £150 - £240 per day
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and passionate Science Teacher to join our SEMH PRU in Preston. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching Science to small groups of students in Key Stage 3 (KS3) and Key Stage 4 (KS4). This role offers a long-term placement with the potential for a permanent position.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated Science lessons to small groups of students in KS3 and KS4.
2. Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that supports the social, emotional, and mental health needs of the students.
3. Implement effective behavior management strategies to maintain a positive and focused classroom atmosphere.
4. Work collaboratively with other members of the teaching and support staff to meet the individual needs of each student.
5. Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback and support as required.
6. Contribute to the development and improvement of the Science curriculum within the SEMH PRU.
Requirements:
7. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching qualification.
8. Experience teaching Science at KS3 and KS4 level.
9. Strong behavior management skills.
10. Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of students with social, emotional, and mental health difficulties.
11. Enthusiastic and committed to making a positive impact on the educational journey of SEMH students.
Desirable but not essential:
12. Previous experience working in a Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) setting.

13. Competitive daily rates ranging from £150 to £240.
