We now employ over 100 employees in our 87,000 square foot facility, ensuring we have the resources to deliver exceptional results on every project Due to continued growth we are seeking a highly motivated MIG Welder The MIG Welder is responsible for producing high quality welds and fabrications using MIG (Metal Inert Gas) welding techniques. The role involves reading standard operating procedures (SOPs), preparing materials, and ensuring the integrity and strength of the welds meet the required standards and client specifications. Key Responsibilities MIG Welding : Perform MIG welding on materials to produce high quality welds and fabrications. Material Preparation : Prepare materials for welding, including cleaning, grinding, and fitting components as required. Reading SOPs : Interpret and follow engineering drawings to ensure accurate and precise weld placements and fabrications. Quality Inspection : Inspect welded joints and fabricated parts to ensure they meet quality standards and client specifications. Welding Equipment Maintenance : Maintain and clean welding equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety. Safety Compliance : Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment. Workplace Organisation : Maintain a clean and organised work area, ensuring all tools and equipment are stored properly. Continuous Improvement : Continuously seek ways to improve welding and fabrication techniques and processes to enhance efficiency and quality. Documentation : Record and document welding and fabrication activities, including materials used, weld settings, and inspection results. Skills & Experience: MIG Welding Expertise : Proficient in MIG welding techniques with a strong focus on producing high-quality welds Technical Proficiency : Ability to read and interpret SOPs accurately. Attention to Detail : Strong commitment to quality, with high levels of accuracy in all welding and fabrication tasks. Problem-Solving Skills : Ability to troubleshoot and resolve welding and fabrication related issues effectively. Safety Conscious : Comprehensive understanding of welding and fabrication safety protocols and procedures. Teamwork & Communication : Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively within a team environment.
