Salary range: £68,742 - £72,041 per annum
Work location: County Hall, Oxford
Hours per week: 37 - we are open to discussions about flexible working
Contract type: Temporary for 24 months

We are undergoing a period of organisational transformation and looking to recruit a Strategic OD Lead to join us on our exciting journey to become an employer of choice, partner of choice and place shaper of choice.
The purpose of this role is to develop effective, dynamic and inspiring leadership across OCC to deliver the corporate ambitions. Adopting forward thinking methodologies the role will facilitate sustainable behavioural change to create a positive and inclusive working environment that creates a culture of trust, collaboration, and ambition where all belong and thrive and perform at their best to deliver excellent services to residents.
You will work with senior stakeholders to develop, design and implement appropriate interventions to achieve leadership growth and sustainable behavioural change across the organisation.
Working to establish yourself as a credible and trusted partner to the CEO and Executive Directors, you will also;
1. Investigate, design and implement appropriate interventions to achieve the established goals
2. Research, propose and gain buy in for a senior leader succession planning and development approach
3. Assess outcomes and impact of any programmes of work adjusting strategies as needed based on feedback and outcomes
About you
You’ll need to have:
4. Degree level education in a related field, or demonstrable equivalent experience with evidence of continuing professional development.
5. Experience of establishing excellent working relationships with senior stakeholders including Members and senior leaders with the ability to challenge, influence and drive cultural and behavioural change.
6. Experience of leading the design and delivery of leadership strategies for large complex organisations
7. Significant experience of coaching at executive level
8. Significant experience of delivering multifaceted complex leadership and cultural change programmes within a local government environment with extensive programme and project management skills/experience.
In addition to the above, it is desirable that you have experience as a Leadership Consultant alongside senior leadership stakeholders.
