Role Summary:
The Compliance Analyst will assist the MLRO in overseeing our compliance program, with a primary focus on AML and CFT, ensuring financial crime prevention. This position plays a vital role in ensuring we fulfil our regulatory requirements and maintain compliance.
Transaction Monitoring:
1. Conduct daily reviews of transactions to detect and investigate suspicious activities or anomalies, escalating concerns to the MLRO when necessary.
2. Perform detailed risk-based analysis of flagged transactions to identify potential financial crime risks.
Customer Due Diligence (CDD):
1. Conduct thorough onboarding checks for corporate and individual clients, including verification of ownership structures and identification of ultimate beneficial owners (UBOs).
2. Ensure client records are regularly updated, adhering to ongoing due diligence (ODD) and enhanced due diligence (EDD) requirements.
AML/CTF Controls:
1. Screen clients against PEP, sanctions, and adverse media databases using compliance software tools.
2. Support the maintenance and periodic updates of Pirvalgo’s AML policies and procedures to align with FCA regulations.
Reporting and Record Keeping:
1. Prepare and submit Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) to the MLRO in compliance with UK regulatory standards.
2. Maintain detailed records of compliance activities and audit trails to ensure readiness for regulatory inspections.
Regulatory Updates and Training:
1. Stay up-to-date on changes to financial crime regulations and FCA guidelines to ensure company-wide compliance.
2. Assist the MLRO in developing and delivering AML and compliance training programs for staff, emphasizing FCA-regulated practices and requirements.
Key Requirements:
1. 1-2 years experience in a compliance role within a FCA regulated Electronic Payments Institution (EMI) is a must.
2. Up to date with FCA regulations and UK AML/CFT framework.
3. Monitoring experience
4. Experience with reviewing Financial Promotions is a big plus
Skills:
1. Strong Analytical skills for monitoring / reviewing transactions and identifying / mitigating risk.
2. Proficient in compliance software (e.g., Comply Advantage, LexisNexis) and Microsoft Office Suite.

Qualifications:
1. Certifications in financial crime prevention, compliance, AML (e.g., ICA, ACAMS) is preferred
2. Bachelor’s degree in finance, law, or similar field is desirable.
