Position Overview: We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Clinical Negligence Solicitor to join the department. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing complex clinical negligence cases, providing high-quality legal advice, and representing clients in court proceedings. The role will involve handling high value/complex matters, with the route to partnership/directorship being available. Key Responsibilities: Manage a caseload of clinical negligence matters from inception to conclusion. Conduct thorough investigations into potential cases of clinical negligence, gathering evidence, and assessing the merits of claims. Provide expert legal advice to clients, explaining their rights and options in clear and concise terms. Liaise with medical experts, barristers, and other professionals to build strong cases on behalf of clients. Prepare legal documents, including pleadings, witness statements, and settlement agreements. Represent clients in negotiations, mediations, and court proceedings, advocating effectively for their interests. Keep up to date with developments in clinical negligence law and practice, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards. Requirements: Qualified solicitor/legal executive with a minimum of 5 years' PQE in clinical negligence law. Proven track record of handling complex clinical negligence cases, including high-value claims. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess legal issues and develop effective strategies. Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and stakeholders.
