As a QHSE Manager (Fleet), you will be the cornerstone of safety and quality within our regional fleet operations. You’ll blend your in-depth knowledge of Ground Support Equipment (GSE) and workshop environments with your expertise in health, safety, environmental, and quality management. By implementing global safety standards, monitoring performance, and driving compliance, you’ll ensure Swissport remains an industry leader in operational excellence. Championing GSE Operational Safety Lead hazard identification and risk assessments for GSE operations, ensuring proactive improvements to keep our teams and equipment safe. Investigate GSE-related incidents, identifying root causes and implementing robust preventative measures. Monitor safety and quality performance metrics, delivering actionable insights to enhance fleet safety. Elevating Workshop Standards Ensure all workshops meet or exceed local health, safety, and environmental regulations, aligning with Swissport’s high standards. Drive compliance with ISO standards and maintain a consistent management system across all workshops. Promote environmental initiatives, such as recycling programs, to reduce Swissport’s environmental footprint. Driving Technical Excellence Plan and execute internal and external audits, ensuring Swissport’s fleet operations meet rigorous safety and quality standards. Collaborate with suppliers to conduct qualification audits and develop performance standards that guarantee exceptional service. Monitor and enforce corrective actions from audit findings, fostering a culture of continuous improvement. Delivering Impactful Leadership Provide clear and comprehensive reports to the Regional QHSE and Fleet Leadership Teams, keeping safety and quality at the forefront. Support technical document management for the fleet and contribute to the annual management review process. Build strong relationships with OEMs, customers, and airport authorities to ensure smooth operations and compliance. A university degree or equivalent qualifications in a related field. 3–5 years of experience in safety management, ideally in industrial, automotive, or GSE-related industries. Expertise in managing health, safety, and environmental regulations across multiple sites. Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to inspire teams and drive change. Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and familiarity with ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001 standards. A passion for continuous improvement, quality, and safety excellence. Ability to travel across the UK.
