We are seeking to appoint teachers of Biology to join this thriving and successful department. As a college we are ambitious for our students and seek to appoint staff who can bring the right blend of flexibility, commitment, energy and vision.
The successful candidates may be required to teach BTEC medical science from September 2026. There may also be an opportunity to teach Environmental Science alongside Biology for candidates who have an interest in this area. There is a possibility of some tutoring being included.
We currently have a permanent position for an FTE of 0.6 (14 contact hours). In addition, we have a part time fixed term post with an FTE between 0.4-0.6 (9-14 contact hours) as a maternity cover until March 2026. There may be an option for the permanent appointment to increase their hours temporarily as part of this maternity cover.
Please indicate which post(s) you are applying for when submitting your application on BHASVIC website. You will have the option to choose between fixed term, permanent or either. Also please indicate if your cover letter whether you would be interested in working up to full time with a mixture of permanent and fixed term hours until March.
