We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Secondary Teaching Assistant to join our partner schools in Caerphilly, with the opportunity to start immediately. While prior experience as a Teaching Assistant is advantageous, we also welcome applicants with experience in child-focused roles such as sports coaching, nursery work, or similar fields. Transferable skills from these environments can be highly beneficial in supporting students' learning and development.
- Assisting teachers with daily classroom activities.
- Providing support to KS3 and KS4 students with Additional Learning Needs (ALN) such as ADHD and autism.
- Supervising and guiding students during group work.
- Collaborating with the school's learning support team to track and report on pupil progress.
- Maintaining strong communication with staff and students.
- Ensuring high standards of safeguarding and welfare.
- A valid enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
- Registration with the Education Workforce Council (EWC).
- 5 GCSEs at grades A*-C in core subjects.
- Minimum of two references.
- Relevant experience working with young people.
- A positive, flexible approach to supporting individual pupil needs.
