We have an exciting opportunity for a QC Technician - Weekends to join Norgine.
The person holding this position will report to the QC team leader.
Main Purpose
Supporting the laboratory with:
• Inspection and sampling of incoming materials and packaging
• Sampling of incoming finished product
• General housekeeping duties and stock control

Requirements
Main Tasks
* Inspection and sampling of starting materials, intermediates, bulk products, packaging components and finished products.
* Collection and storage retention samples.
* Environmental sampling of the facility (water, plates and swabs).
* Despatch of samples for external analysis.
* Maintain accurate records of work, carry out and follow written procedures.
* Reporting of results to facilitate material disposition
* Management of laboratory glassware and consumable availability
* Calibration of basic test equipment
* To carry out tasks as required to suit business needs and department needs and as appropriate to the job role
* To carry out all work to cCMP and GLP standards and safe working practices
Complexity
The activities of the job holder are covered by procedures and policies. Issues that require clarification are referred to the Quality Control Leader from whom he/she receives direction.
Accountability
The job holder is responsible for carrying out all activities according to written procedures and providing accurate records of their work.
He/she is responsible for informing the Quality Control Leader of any non conformities found.
Relationships
Required to liaise with production, stores, logistics and development departments on issues associated with the job function.
Knowledge and Skills
Ideally qualified to GCSE level in mathematics and/or science. In the absence of formal qualifications he/she must be competent in basic mathematical manipulations and have an understanding of science. It is essential that the job holder is diligent in their work, with an eye for detail and is capable of understanding and working to GMP/GLP.
