St Edward's Oxford is looking for a Biology Laboratory Technician to join our Science department on a full time basis. This is a great opportunity for a skilled individual with a passion for science to play a key role in the smooth running of the department. You will carry out a range of tasks and responsibilities to support science teaching, helping to deliver practical opportunities and experiments for our pupils. These tasks will include: Preparing demonstrations and experiments Clearing away and washing up apparatus and equipment used in practical work Disposing of used materials and keeping the laboratories clean and tidy Maintaining equipment, ensuring it is safe to use Undertaking administrative tasks in support of the Head of Department You may also be required to provide cover across the other departments during busy periods or the absence of colleagues. You will be a committed and enthusiastic individual, with excellent interpersonal, communication, team working and organisational skills. You will also possess strong IT skills, including proficiency with email and Excel, as well as a general willingness to embrace school-specific IT programs. Previous technician, laboratory or Biology experience is desirable, but not essential.
