About the role
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Science Teacher to join a well-respected secondary school in Sheffield on a part-time basis. This role will start ASAP and continue until Easter. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality Science lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, ensuring students develop a strong understanding of scientific principles and a love for the subject.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced teacher or an ambitious early-career teacher who wants to make a difference while enjoying a flexible working schedule.

Position Details:
Location: Leeds Contract: Part time (Monday and Tuesday) Pay Rate: £150 - £223 per day (UPS rates will be considered)
Essential Requirements
* QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent teaching qualification.
* Eligibility to work in the UK.
* Strong subject knowledge across Biology, Chemistry, and Physics.
* An Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).
Skills
* Excellent subject knowledge of Science
* Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
* Ability to differentiate teaching to meet the needs of all learners
* Creativity in designing practical and interactive lessons .
* Strong IT skills for lesson planning and assessment
* Willingness to contribute to science-related extracurricular activities .
Responsibilities
* Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated Science lessons.
* Teach across Key Stages 3 and 4, following the national curriculum.
* Develop students' scientific knowledge, practical skills, and critical thinking abilities.
* Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback to support their development
* Encourage students to engage in practical experiments and scientific investigations.
* Use innovative teaching strategies to enhance learning experiences.
* Support students in preparing for GCSE Science assessments.
* Ensure health and safety regulations are followed in all practical lessons.
* Provide guidance and support to students with additional learning needs.
* Uphold the school's safeguarding policies and ensure student well-being.
