The Role
We are excited to announce an incredible opportunity to join Aurora Academies Trust as a full-time Nursery Manager, working across King Offa and Glenleigh Park Nurseries. This is a unique role offering the right person the chance to make a real difference to the lives of a large number of children and families, driving excellence in early years education across both nurseries. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with dynamic and dedicated staff, ensuring a high-quality learning environment for children.
About Us:
Aurora Academies Trust operates four nurseries across Bexhill and Eastbourne, all rated 'Good' or 'Outstanding' by Ofsted. At Glenleigh Park Nursery, we place children at the heart of everything we do, guided by our core values of Growth, Perseverance, Positivity, and Achievement. We ensure every child experiences personal, academic, and character growth, and we encourage perseverance and positivity in both learning and relationships. At King Offa our values are Knowledge, Opportunity, Pride and Achievement. We teach children to embrace Knowledge: to see opportunities in difficulty and challenges, to take pride in themselves and to achieve their very best!
Both nurseries share very closely aligned values following a child-centered approach, alongside the latest research and best practices in Early Years education. This includes embedding principles from the Curiosity Approach, fostering a love for exploration and discovery, and helping children develop confidence, and a lifelong passion for learning.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee the daily operation of both nurseries, ensuring high standards of care and education in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
* Lead and support a team, fostering professional development and a collaborative approach.
* Work closely with families, creating strong partnerships to support each child’s development.
* Drive continuous improvement, staying informed of current legislation and research in early childhood education.
The successful candidate will have:
* Level 3 childcare qualification as a minimum (Level 5 or above preferred) with substantial management experience in an early years setting.
* A deep understanding of the EYFS framework and current trends in early years education.
* A proven ability to lead and inspire teams, with a passion for nurturing children's growth and development.
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with children, staff, and families.
We Offer:
* A full time or term-time plus one week contract.
* The chance to work across two vibrant nurseries, providing a wider impact on the early years community.
* Ongoing professional development opportunities and access to the latest training.
* A supportive and innovative working environment that values staff.
* The opportunity to work collaboratively with our network of nurseries and colleagues from reception classes across the Trust.
* A generous benefits package: Aurora Academies Advantage Scheme, including online GP appointments, health and well-being support, discounts to high-street shops, and more.
Join us in shaping the future of early years education at Aurora Academies Trust, where you’ll play a crucial role in ensuring children receive the best start in life.
If you are ready to embrace this exciting challenge and make a difference in the lives of children and families, we would love to hear from you!
Applications will be shortlisted as they are received, and we reserve the right to interview and appoint before the closing date. Early applications are strongly encouraged.
