CCTV Field Engineer Marston Holdings are continually expanding, and part of our growth is our Technology side of the business where we have attained Videalert and Vortex. Together we are the UK’s leading supplier of intelligent traffic enforcement and management solutions and leading provider of smart city solutions that deliver the highest productivity at the lowest operational cost. We provide environmental sensors, networks, and data solutions to support decarbonisation efforts globally. We drive real environmental change by leveraging the power of real-time data with cleantech technologies. We are looking to increase the capability of our services by recruiting another CCTV Field Engineer to join the team. This is a full time, permanent position and encompasses out of office hours [OOH] and requires extensive UK wide travel. The successful candidate will need to hold a Full UK Driving License This role is a critical part of the operations team. It is the function of our Field Engineers to ensure the hardware required for our traffic enforcement and management products is delivered and maintained in a timely, successful, and safe manor. Core Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Work with the Head of Service Management, PMO Manager and Technical Manager and wider service delivery and service management team to ensure any recurring technical issues are addressed and any training or documentation requirements are identified and implemented.
2. System commissioning – working with our engineering partners to install at client sites, ensuring systems are delivered as specified. Working on site to install and assemble system, overseeing the activities of our engineering partners and sub-contractors where necessary.
3. Software configuration - adjusting system settings “at the pole”, maximising the efficiency of delivery and optimising the effectiveness of solutions in situ.
4. System support – assisting the helpdesk team, carrying out system checks and reacting to system generated alerts or client issues to trouble shoot issues and ensure maximum system uptime. Attending site for hardware replacements where required
Required Experience & Skills:
5. At least two years’ experience in a field technical role, ideally with an enforcement/CCTV/ANPR system provider
6. A solid understanding Networking/IP
7. A good working knowledge of hardware components (PCs, cameras, wireless, etc.) and networking devices
8. Full UK Driving License
