FAS Laboratory & DNA Recovery Administration Officer
The East Midlands Specialist Operations Unit (EMSOU) is seeking to recruit into the role of FAS Laboratory & DNA Recovery Administration Officer to provide professional administrative support to all the internal units within EMSOU-Forensic Services.
You will work within the EMSOU-FS and help to receive, move, track forensic exhibits from the EMSOU-FS region on behalf of the Central Services and to support the Forensic Business Manager. You will also provide an ordering and reception service to all of the department.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Providing professional administrative support to all the internal units within EMSOU-Forensic Services.
* Dealing efficiently with telephone and written enquiries as well as e-mails, giving guidance with the Forensic results and redirecting calls to relevant person/department.
* Tracking and authorising invoices within the financial management system, providing proof of compliance and operational integrity, maintaining records of financial transactions.
The Must Haves
* GCSE English at Grade C (now Level 4) or above, or equivalent qualification or experience of producing written reports and correspondence at that level or above.
* GCSE Maths at Grade C (now Level 4) or above, or equivalent qualification or experience of producing statistical data.
* You must have experience of liaising effectively with both internal and external stakeholders and delivering information to a variety of audiences using different formats.
Please be aware that due to the security checks required for this role you must have 5 years continuous residency in the UK.
Salary
£23,748 - £28,653. For part-time hours, the salary will be calculated on a pro-rata basis, this is based on the number of hours for the vacancy.
