Do you want to be part of a dynamic, innovative, high profile and friendly MFT Dietetic Team? Join us and work alongside 70 Dietitians based across four hospital sites in Greater Manchester, a vibrant city with a diverse culture and good transport links.
We have a fantastic opportunity for you to join our supportive and forward-thinking team of 25 dietitians and two dietetic assistants as a band 6 rotational dietitian.
The posts will be based at Wythenshawe hospital, a major acute teaching hospital that is recognised as a centre of clinical excellence. We provide district general hospital services and specialist tertiary services to our local community as well as the North West region.
Our fields of specialist expertise include cardiology and cardiothoracic surgery, heart and lung transplantation, respiratory conditions, burns and plastics, cancer and breast care services; and form part of a larger cross-Trust Dietetic Division alongside Manchester Royal Infirmary, Trafford General and North Manchester General hospitals.
The post will form part of the band 6 rotation scheme and will provide the opportunity to develop your knowledge and clinical skills in a variety of specialist areas. With support from our senior specialist dietitians, you will continue to develop skills in more complex nutrition support including parenteral nutrition.
You will work as an integral part of the multidisciplinary team; participate in improvement initiatives, clinical audits and other clinical governance activities. As a hospital recognised nationally for the quality of teaching and research, a passion to implement training of dietitians, students, medical and nursing staff is paramount.
Your knowledge and skill progression are extremely valued, and the department actively encourages CPD activities and personal development.
Compassion, care, enthusiasm, excellent communication and team working skills are essential along with a sound knowledge of nutrition support.
To apply for this post you must have a degree, postgraduate diploma or Master’s Degree in Dietetics and current HCPC registration.
