Elevate your life with our family-friendly policies prioritizing wellbeing Purpose of the role The primary role involves organizing the loading and unloading of lorries for the transportation of aggregates, asphalt, and recycled materials at the depot, asphalt, and recycling plants. This includes optimizing loaded capacity between units to enhance transport efficiency. Ensuring customer satisfaction is paramount, and responsibilities extend to generating computerized weight tickets for lorries, handling telephone inquiries, receiving and directing visitors, and managing various administrative tasks related to weighbridge operations. A key duty involves verifying that materials leaving the site adhere to the company's quality standards. The incumbent is also expected to stay informed about and communicate any health and safety changes at the site to haulers. Additionally, the role encompasses operating, inspecting, and maintaining mobile plant equipment for material loading and transportation, with the completion of inspection checklists before, during, and after operations. Maintaining politeness and punctuality, ensuring the correct operation of the cash sales procedure, and compliance with company policies, health and safety, and environmental procedures are integral aspects of the position. Effective communication and collaboration with other Weighbridge Clerks are emphasized to optimize the efficiency of franchised vehicles. The scope of duties extends to any other responsibilities within the office as directed by Site Management, such as helping on the weighbridge. Key accountabilities Ensure compliance with Competition Act. Ensure Company information is dealt with as per the Company procedures. To operate mobile plant in a safe and efficient manner. To maintain plant to good order physically in accordance with manufacturers and Heidelberg Materials recommendations. To complete near miss reports as required by Site Management. Good timekeeping. Keep work stations clean and tidy Maintenance check on the plant Housekeeping for the plant 5 S Audits Health and Safety inspections General maintenance Working well as part of a team Education/Experience Full training can be given to the right candidate. To work towards and attain NVQ/QCF certification in mobile plant operations and certification in weighbridge operating.
