Job Description:
As part of our expansion, we are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Junior/Senior Accountant.
This is an excellent opportunity to grow your career in tax accounting and work with experienced professionals in a supportive environment. As a Junior/Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for assisting with various accounting tasks and gaining valuable hands-on experience.
Responsibilities:
1. Assist in maintaining financial records and ensuring accuracy and completeness.
2. Reconcile bank statements, various balance sheet accounts, and other financial documents.
3. Conduct thorough financial analysis and reporting.
4. Support the preparation of financial statements and tax returns.
5. Assist in researching tax-related issues and staying updated on changes in tax laws, accounting principles, and industry regulations.
6. Communicate with clients to obtain source documents and address account and tax-related inquiries.
7. Provide support to seniors and managers as needed and collaborate with team members to ensure timely and accurate completion of tasks.
Requirements:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
2. Strong knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles.
3. Strong understanding of business and income tax worksheets and computations.
4. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office Suite programs.
5. Proficiency in QuickBooks, Lacerte Tax, and other accounting software.
6. Previous internship or relevant work experience is preferred but not required.
7. Ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
8. Ability to work well independently and as part of a team.
9. Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
10. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as interpersonal skills.
