New Lyminge Surgery are looking for a qualified Dispenser who has an approachable manner and is able to work within our friendly team. You will be integral in maintaining the functioning of the practice dispensary and be able to work under pressure. This is a great opportunity to make a difference to the lives of our patients every day.
This is a permanent role of 16 hours per week with the ability to extend up to 24. Salary will depend upon experience.
Main duties of the job
Working under the direct supervision of the Dispensary Manager and strictly in accordance with specific practice guidelines and protocols. The Dispenser will help patients by ensuring the provision of efficient and accurate dispensing of medication to the patients of the practice, support the day-to-day running of the dispensary, and work with other members of the team, including clinical staff.

New Lyminge Surgery is a semi-rural practice based in the North Kent Downs, 6 miles from the vibrant seaside town of Folkestone and 12 miles from the historic cathedral city of Canterbury. We are a small and friendly surgery serving 4800 patients in Lyminge and the surrounding villages and countryside.
Job responsibilities
1. Delivering the technical aspects of the dispensary whilst ensuring the safe supply of medicines e.g. ordering medicines, labelling, dispensing, endorsing, and collection of prescriptions.
2. Complying with legal and professional requirements and accepted guidance on professional practice in dispensing.
3. Tailoring conversations with every patient to ensure they leave the surgery feeling informed and confident about their healthcare needs.
4. Seeking opportunities to consistently improve with the dispensary.
5. Engage with the practice team to promote services and items.
