About the Role
As a Drainage Engineer, you’ll be at the forefront of helping residential and commercial customers solve drainage issues quickly and professionally. You’ll be equipped with a fully stocked van (including jetting units, cameras, rods, and more) and will be responsible for reactive unblocking, CCTV surveys, and remedial works. Training will be provided if you have the right attitude, with ongoing support to develop your skills in repairs and patch lining.
You’ll be trusted to manage your own day, provide a great service on every visit, and represent the Drain Doctor brand to the highest standard.
Key Responsibilities
* Attend customer sites to carry out drain unblocking, cleaning, CCTV inspections and drainage repairs
* Operate jetting equipment, cameras, rods, and electro-mechanical equipment
* Diagnose drainage issues and offer appropriate solutions
* Complete clear and accurate job documentation and customer updates
* Maintain a clean, professional company van and equipment
* Work closely with the office team for job scheduling and customer service
What We’re Looking For
* Previous experience as a Drainage Engineer, with a background in reactive unblocks using High Pressure Water Jetting and CCTV
* Self-motivated, practical, and willing to learn
* Strong communication and customer service skills
* Full UK driving licence with no more than 6 points
* Happy to be part of an on call rota (1 in 4)
* Experience with drain patching or lining is desirable but not essential

* Basic salary of £26,000 per year + Bonus. Realistic OTE of up to £50,000.

Location: Covering Peterborough and surrounding areas
Hours: 8-hour shift, Monday to Friday + On Call (1 weekend and evening in every 4 weeks)
