Morgan Hunt are currently recruiting for a Finance Officer in East London on a full time permanent basis with reputable College. This Finance Officer role is paying up to £27, per annum.
The Finance Officer will be helping with financial accounts across the college and supporting the wider team. The college are value driven and offer hybrid working.
Main Responsibilities of the Finance Officer:
1. Manage income collection and cashiering services.
2. Ensure prompt and accurate banking of all College receipts.
3. Support trading areas with receipt handling across the College.
4. Control and distribute petty cash.
5. Assist with the purchase ledger by coding, registering, matching, and filing invoices.
6. Set up new suppliers in the Finance system following established procedures.
7. Process credit card payments and verify relevant documents.
8. Help process Purchase Orders and Supplier payments with the AP Officer.
9. Maintain systems and procedures related to cash and receipts.
Person Specification of the Finance Officer:
10. Qualified in finance (AAT Studier or NVQ Level 3) with recent experience in a financial environment and using finance packages.
11. Proficient in Microsoft Office, with strong understanding and experience in double entry bookkeeping.
12. Skilled in handling cash, cheques, and credit card payments, and maintaining effective relationships with non-finance staff and external customers.
13. Experienced in income collection, customer service, and establishing effective working relationships.
14. Strong team player with good communication, organisational skills, high numeracy, and the ability to work on own initiative.
