Job description
Our client, a leading local authority in London, is seeking a Validation Officer to join their Development Control Department on a contract basis. As a Validation Officer, you will play a crucial role in the process of assessing and validating a wide range of Planning Applications within the Town Planning sector.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Validate and process a diverse portfolio of Planning Applications, ensuring that all relevant documentation is accurate and complete.
2. Liaise closely with Agents, Architects, and Residents, providing technical guidance and support throughout the application process.
3. Apply relevant legislation and regulations to ensure compliance with planning policies and guidelines.
4. Act as the system operator for Uniform software, effectively utilizing the system to manage and track planning applications.
Job Requirements:
5. Significant experience in town planning, with a strong understanding of the planning application process and associated legislation.
6. Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to accurately assess and validate planning documentation.
7. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively liaise with stakeholders and provide technical guidance.
8. Proficiency in using Uniform software or similar planning application management systems.
