Deputy Head Nurse Sought for Clifton Lodge Veterinary Group
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Deputy Head Nurse role at Clifton Lodge Veterinary Group. This is a new position to support our current Head Nurse (of almost 30 years), offering additional support and guidance to our senior nursing team and the growth and development of our ever-growing nursing family.
Clifton Lodge Vets is a large 4 branch practice based around Teesside, with the largest site being at Hartlepool. Although we have grown in size, we still have a loyal, friendly, and approachable team that wants to provide the best care and endeavor to improve animal welfare.
We have 11 amazing vets who hold certificates in Surgery, Dentistry, Cardiology, and Imaging, supported by a large administration team, 3 Senior RVNs, 8 RVNs, 4 student nurses, 1 senior ANA, and 6 ANAs.
This is a full-time role of 40 hours per week, working across our 3 main sites (Hartlepool, Horden, and Billingham).
The successful candidate must have proven leadership skills and be able to support, motivate, and direct a team of varying skill and experience, whilst encouraging and supporting the team to maximize their own full potential.
Be confident with conflict resolution and management, and be happy to offer in-the-moment feedback and advice. Must be conscientious, motivated, passionate, and strive for best practice policy whilst building a positive rapport with the entire team and our lovely customers.
Must be happy to mentor and clinically coach. Must possess excellent communication skills and be passionate about practice/people progression whilst adopting the VetPartners values and visions.
