The Role
This is a senior leadership position, reporting directly to the CEO and playing a key role in shaping the future of the business. You’ll lead on all things People, from talent attraction and development to culture, engagement, performance — and ensuring we are fully compliant with all aspects of employment law.
What You’ll Be Responsible For:
* Creating and delivering a progressive people strategy that supports our ambitious growth plans.
* Building a standout employer brand that attracts and retains the very best talent in hospitality.
* Developing industry-leading training & development programmes that unlock potential at every level.
* Championing culture — ensuring our people feel valued, inspired, and empowered to be their best.
* Ensuring the business remains fully compliant with all relevant employment legislation, offering expert guidance to senior leaders and acting as the go-to person for all complex ER matters.
* Driving a culture of accountability and performance that balances commercial success with brilliant people experiences.
* Providing strategic and operational advice on everything from contracts and policies to employee relations, TUPE, and tribunal risks.
* Ensuring diversity, equity, and inclusion sit at the heart of how we recruit, develop, and lead.
* Being a trusted advisor to the Board and wider leadership team on all people matters.
Who We’re Looking For:
* A senior HR/People leader with a track record of success in hospitality, retail, or a fast-paced service-led environment.
* Strong knowledge of UK employment law, with the ability to confidently guide the business through complex people challenges.
* A strategic thinker who can see the big picture, but isn’t afraid to roll their sleeves up and get stuck in.
* A natural culture-builder who understands how to create places people love to work.
* Commercially switched-on, with a clear understanding of how great people drive great results.
* Passionate about creating inclusive environments where everyone can thrive.
* Someone who brings fresh thinking — challenging the status quo and bringing new ideas to the table.
