Purpose of the Role
* To aid in the scheduling and coordination of manufactured products from release, to manufacturing through to completion, ensuring maximum performance and minimum delay.
* Proactively address potential or actual material shortages with suppliers to track and improve shortage dates.
* Responsible for liaising with the production, purchasing, sales and project teams to achieve the successful completion of work orders through to customer delivery.
Responsibilities:
* Confer with department Managers to determine overdue work and to inform production planners of material status.
* Contact suppliers by phone and email to chase shortages.
* Contact suppliers by phone and email to expedite outstanding Purchase Orders.
* Contact suppliers by phone and email to ensure Purchase Orders are to schedule.
* Keeping track of shipments and movement of material, providing regular updates to key stakeholders as to the progress of parts.
* Coordinating with subcontractors to ensure schedules are maintained.
* Update SAGE with latest delivery information.
* Participation in the production daily stand-up meetings.
* Identify opportunities to consolidate work orders allowing more efficient production builds.
* Ensure production EOQ’s are considered when loading production work orders.
* DCR management and liaising with sales admin.
* Support materials for the returns process.
Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications and Experience:
* Operational experience in supply chain management is essential.
* Excellent verbal, written and presentation communication skills.
* Good understanding or previous experience of ERP or similar.
* IT skills, advanced excel capability and reporting skills are an advantage.
* Have a high level of initiative and ability to work independently.
* Excellent organisational skills.
* Excellent attention to detail.
* Excellent time management.
