Job summary This is a full-time clinical and strategic leadership role, hosted by NELFT in connection to the MHST's across North East London - this will include those provided in Newham, Tower hamlets, City and Hackney, Waltham Forest, Barking and Dagenham, Redbridge, and Havering areas (referred to as NEL). The post holder will be responsible for the clinical and strategic leadership of the NEL wide MHST's. The post-holder will work closely with the Assistant Directors and other relevant leadership roles in the multiple organsiations who are commissioned to provide MHST's in the NEL area. You will promote and develop effective relationships with key partners, especially the local authority, commissioners, schools, voluntary & community & social enterprise and other agencies working in the NEL area. The post-holder will be a post-graduate qualified psychological practitioner (e.g. clinical psychologist, family therapist, child and adolescent psychotherapist) or other relevant professionally registered practitioner e.g. registered nurse. Have extensive clinical and operational leadership experience and will support their teams, acting as an effective team member whilst working on their own initiative. Main duties of the job To set, implement and evaluate clear, achievable and measurable clinical objectives for the NEL MHSTs. To assist with the effective management of operational services and resources within the designated service areas, including budgets, and staffing as appropriate. To initiate and implement programmes to achieve strategic and clinical changes and improvement to services and systems. To act as the point of contact for NEL wide MHST programme oversight To ensure that there is a research culture within NEL MHSTs. To coordinate the implementation of Research & Development (R&D) activity within the service. This may include securing externally funded or multidisciplinary research. To provide strategic and clinical leadership and to liaise with commissioners at ICB area levels across multiple contracts. To support the development of a multi-professional workforce plan spanning MHST across NEL About us Starting with NELFT NELFT place a great deal of importance on new starters being properly welcomed and inducted into the Trust. All new starters will join the Trust on the first Monday of each month and will undertake a comprehensive induction of up to two weeks which will include mandatory training, systems training and the allocation of equipment.
