Job Title: Social Worker – Children Assessment Team
Location: Wokingham
Rate: £36 per hour
An exciting job role has recently become available at the Wokingham District Council. They are looking for a new member for their Children Assessment Team. The ideal candidate for this role will be dynamic and flexible with great inter-personal skills, excellent recording skills, and a sound knowledge of children’s legislation and thresholds – as well as the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and be able to multi-task. To ensure continuity of cases held with our locums, we always look for candidates with staying power and will seek this out in the employment history noted within all applications.
Your main responsibilities as a Social Worker:
Collaborate within a supportive team alongside the Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT), planning, monitoring, and evaluating work. Adhere to Social Work England’s standards, professional values, and code of conduct, prioritizing the autonomy and choice of adults, carers, and families. Conduct needs-led assessments, complex care planning, and reviews, and initiate multi-disciplinary assessments as required. Provide social work support to individuals and their families, involving them in decision-making, and offering guidance and referrals as necessary to enhance social resilience and prevent hospital admissions. Practice according to the Professional Capabilities Framework (PCF) and uphold professional standards, demonstrating a commitment to ongoing development.

Qualifications and Experiences:
* Social Work England registration
* Eligible to work in the UK
* Hold a full UK licence
* Post-qualified experience
* Degree level or equivalent in Social Work
