Responsibilities
1. Responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the site and the day-to-day management of employees, ensuring company targets and objectives are met to meet customer requirements, and ensuring that staff comply with health, safety, and standard operating procedures.
2. Ensure “on-time”/“on-quality” delivery of parts.
3. Maintain site security.
4. Ensure all staff are kitted, have works orders, SOP's and are trained and risk assessed to do the assigned task.
5. Lead by example, ensuring a safe and efficient workplace is always maintained.
6. Responsible for first off's and last off's.
7. Responsible for stock checks and PI's.
8. Ensure that staff are in place to meet the plan and are working to plan and full efficiency.
9. Drive continuous improvement and increase efficiency.
10. Implement team personal development plans and progress all shop-floor staff members through training matrix.
11. Ensure all product is correctly identified and in the correct place on the shop-floor.
12. Ensure that Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) are monitored and targets achieved.
13. Liaise and coordinate with support functions to progress issues concerning production planning and resource/skill allocation to ensure delivery of products to schedule within all relevant quality specifications.
14. Responsible for employee relation issues working alongside HR.
15. Drive performance of team members, giving direction and feedback to aid good performance.
16. Ensure that non-conformance is challenged and counter-measures are agreed and implemented.
17. Report and act upon plant or machinery breakdowns to maintenance team.
18. Contribute to the improvement of working procedures by constantly looking for solutions to ensure the best productivity results and ensuring compliance with procedures, operating instructions, and work instructions.
19. Ensure that internal delivery processes are adhered to support dispatch time windows.
20. Conduct incident, accident, and non-conformity investigations and associated reporting and action closure.
21. When business needs require, cover additional site supervision.
The successful candidate will be expected to travel between 3 sites based in Daventry when required.
