A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Safety, Health, Environment and Quality (SHEQ) Support Manager to join Sunbelt Rentals UK. You’ll be responsible for providing support across the business including the future development or our Engage For Life Safety Programme, Annual Safety Week and other safety related campaigns and projects. Key Responsibilities; Provide guidance and support to the business, contributing to the overall SHEQ strategy, objectives, targets and aspirations Support the development of safety related initiatives, programmes and projects Lead the development of our Engage for Life Programme and Safety Week Form proactive relationships with key stakeholders (internal & external) Provide support with the accident management platform Encourage observation reporting and support the business in closeout, sharing lessons learnt and development of best practice Support the development of machine and product related risk assessments and safe systems of work Give guidance and support to the business in maintaining external accreditations Active involvement and support on new product approvals to ensure safety standards and compliance What can we offer you in return? To be successful in the role you will likely be in a similar SHEQ support position. A history of equipment rental or construction industries is preferable. The Ideal candidate will have the following; A Heath & Safety qualification (NEBOSH General or equivalent is preferable) A good understanding of SHEQ management systems and improvement processes The ability to communicate at all levels, including presentations to senior management & external stakeholders Flexible and able to quickly change priorities depending on business requirements Methodical approach to problem solving with an eye for detail Excellent IT skills including all Microsoft products A full driving licence This role requires occasional travel across a wide geographical area. Flexibility and a willingness to travel including overnight stays is therefore essential.
