As a Secretary, you’ll provide professional and tailored administrative support to the Command and Senior Leadership Teams. You’ll bring strong organisational and keyboard skills, experience working with senior staff and the public, and a solid grasp of Microsoft 365 tools, including Teams and Outlook, to keep everything running smoothly in a fast-paced, people-focused environment. Key duties: Manage multiple email accounts, diaries, appointments, correspondence, and telephone calls, ensuring timely action on important issues. Produce and prepare accurate documentation, including briefings, presentations, agendas, invitations, minutes, and action logs for senior staff. Attend meetings and briefings to take minutes and action points as directed by senior staff. Provide resilience to the secretarial team to ensure continuous professional administrative support. Action, update, and close requests in the Case Management Tool according to Service Level Agreements and maintain an efficient filing system for easy document retrieval. Key requirements: Educated to Level 2 or equivalent relevant experience. Good understanding of IT packages such as Microsoft Office (including Excel/ Word and PowerPoint) and be fully conversant with Outlook / emails. Previous experience working in a secretarial/PA role working at a high level within an organisation. Experience in a customer focussed environment. Previous experience of minute taking or dictation when required (shorthand is not essential, but must have the ability to take coherent and accurate notes at speed).
